Congratulatory Message from Chinese Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam Xiao Jianguo, on the Occasion of His Majesty’s 79th Birthday

On the occasion of the 79th birthday of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, I would like to extend my sincerest congratulations and best wishes to His Majesty.

Under the leadership of His Majesty, the Bruneian people are united to actively explore a development path that suits the country's national conditions, stride forward towards the Wawasan Brunei 2035, jointly paint a beautiful picture of social stability, economic development and national prosperity, and play an increasingly unique and important role in regional and international affairs.

China and Brunei are close neighbors across the sea, trustworthy friends and close partners for common development, with the bilateral friendship lasting for over one thousand years and remaining as vibrant as ever. In February this year, His Majesty successfully paid a state visit to China. President Xi Jinping and His Majesty reached important consensus on working towards a China-Brunei community with a shared future, navigating bilateral relations into a new era. Looking ahead, China stands ready to work with Brunei to implement the important consensus of the two heads of state, deepen high-level strategic mutual trust, and foster more practical cooperation, so as to promote new and greater development in the building of a China-Brunei community with a shared future, and to make due contributions to regional peace and stability.

May His Majesty enjoy good health and every success! May Brunei Darussalam enjoy greater prosperity and its people happiness and well-being!
