RUTLAND CITY POLICE OFFICER SENTENCED ON CHARGE OF RECKLESS ENDANGERMENT IN OFFICER-INVOLVED SHOOTING

The Attorney General's Office today announced that Rutland City Police Patrol Sergeant Andrew Plemmons, 47, was sentenced in Vermont Superior Court, Rutland Criminal Division, after pleading guilty to one misdemeanor count of Reckless Endangerment.

The Court, Judge Cortland Corsones presiding, sentenced Mr. Plemmons to zero to one year to serve in prison, all suspended, with two years of probation. The probation conditions include that he cannot contact the victims and must complete 100 community service hours.

If Mr. Plemmons violates the conditions of his probation, he faces up to one year in prison.
