The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Enterprise Assessments (EA) conducted an independent assessment of conduct of operations (CONOPS) program implementation at the Idaho Cleanup Project (ICP) Radioactive Waste Management Complex (RWMC). The assessment focused on retrieval, storage, treatment and shipping operations at the Advanced Mixed Waste Treatment Project and included activities at the Advanced Mixed Waste Treatment Facility, Waste Management Facility warehouses, waste characterization buildings, and loading/shipping operations associated with Transuranic Package Transporter-II waste packages. Idaho Environmental Coalition, LLC (IEC) is the management and operating contractor at ICP, with the DOE ICP Field Office (DOE-ICP) having field element oversight responsibilities. The assessment was conducted in May and June 2026.
