Notice to convert mining claims and upland mining leases to upland mining lease

The Alaska Department of Natural Resources, Division of Mining, Land and Water hereby gives notice that the locator listed in this notice has recorded a mining location on land in which Alaska holds the mineral estate. The locator has applied with the state to convert mining claims into the following upland mining lease under AS 38.05.205(a) and 11 AAC 86.305.

Holder BELOW ALASKA MINING of PO BOX 821 Talkeetna AK 99676-0821 consolidating Upland Mining leases ADLs 702171 Township 28 North, Range 8 West; Section 6, NW1/4 NW1/4 excluding that portion of ADL 674066 in the SW1/4 NW1/4; Township 28N, Range 9 West; Section 1, N1/2 NE1/4; Township 29 North, Range 8 West; Section 31, SW1/4, SW1/4 SE1/4, W1/2 NW1/4; Township 29 North, Range 9 West; Section 25, S1/2 SE1/4; Section 36, NE1/4 NE1/4; excluding Petersville Recreational Mining Area and unconveyed portion of MS 2403 and MS 2384, containing Approximately 447 acres; and ADL 674062 in Township 28 North, Range 8 West; Section 6: NWNE, SENE, E2NW4, NWSW, SESW, E2SE4, and SWSE, excluding USMS 2384. Section 7: NWNE excluding USMS 2384; Township 28 North, Range 9 West; Section 1: SENE excluding USMS 2384 containing approximately: 337 acres. And mining claims ADL 742795, ADL 742796, ADL 742797, ADL 742798, and ADL 742796

The new upland mining lease ADL 234753 is located in the Seward Meridian within Township 28N, Range 8W Sections 6 and 7. EXCLUDING USMS 2384;
WITHIN T28N, R9W, Section 1. EXCLUDING USMS 2384;
WITHIN T29N R8W Section 31;
WITHIN T29N R9W Sections 25 and 36;

Lease contains approximately 817 acres.

Prior to issuing a mining lease, the state is required to issue a newspaper public notice of the leasing action and determine if there are any conflicting mineral right interests. Unless the Division of Mining, Land and Water is notified of conflicting mineral right interests, a lease will be issued to the locator 30 days or more after the date of this notice.

Mining lessees have the exclusive right of possession and extraction of locatable minerals subject to AS 38.05.185 - 38.05.275. Leases are issued for the term it takes to mine and are renewable if necessary. The lease will require mandatory rent and production royalty requirements. Once the lease is issued, the lessee must obtain all required permits before exploration or mining can occur.
