Metro will host an invitation-only hiring event on Saturday, March 28, for experienced Automotive Service Technicians (Bus Mechanics). Candidates who meet the position's minimum qualifications will be invited to attend and interview in person for potential employment opportunities.
Qualified recommended candidates who participate in the hiring event may be eligible for sign on bonuses of up to $7,000. Employees also receive a comprehensive benefits package including competitive pay, retirement plan, health insurance, career advancement opportunities, and free transportation on Metro.
"We're looking for experienced technicians who want to help keep Metro's bus fleet running safely and reliably for our customers," said Metro General Manager and CEO Randy Clarke. "These are critical roles that support daily service across the region, and we want to connect directly with skilled professionals who are ready to join our team."
Metro currently has a variety of positions posted at wmata.com/careers, but this hiring event is specifically for the Automotive Service Technician role. Metro continues to recruit year-round for mission-critical positions such as Metro Transit Police Officers, Bus Operators, and other operational roles.
