Rep. Mullin Supports Gaza Ceasefire Deal

Rep. Kevin Mullin (CA-15) issued the following response to the Gaza ceasefire deal:

"I wholeheartedly support the ceasefire deal between Israel and Hamas, and urge all parties to abide by its terms. We are long overdue for an end to this devastating war that has killed far too many innocent civilians, torn families apart, and destabilized the region.

I am hopeful for the remaining Israeli hostages who will be returned to their families, and that desperately needed humanitarian aid is quickly surged to war-torn Gaza and the Palestinians suffering in the region. This first phase is a much-needed step in what will inevitably be a long process, and it must ultimately lead to a two-state solution that provides durable peace for the region.

The world has witnessed an unimaginable amount of suffering due to this war. I remain deeply committed to diplomatic progress that ensures a safe and secure Israel, and Palestinians with self-determination living in peace and prosperity."
