Building a Better Future: TLU Hosts Habitat for Humanity Event

On June 28, a group of volunteers gathered at TLU to help local families' dreams of owning a home come true. The 2nd Annual Build for Better Bash, an event created by Habitat for Humanity of San Antonio and Guadalupe Valley, streamlined the process of building walls so that volunteers could spend the morning assembling them. Soon, those walls will be used for homes being built to meet the rising need for affordable housing in the area.

A big round of applause to all who volunteered and supported the event. The impact of this single day of work will last for many years to come for the families who are finally able to have a home of their own.
