DU QUOIN, IL - Heavy-hitting rock legends Night Ranger will bring their powerhouse sound to the Du Quoin State Fair on Friday, September 4, 2026, delivering a night of classic hits and high-energy rock that spans four decades of music history.
Fresh off the release of their acclaimed live album 40 Years and a Night with Contemporary Youth Orchestra, Night Ranger continues to celebrate a landmark 40th anniversary. The album was filmed live at Cleveland's KeyBank State Theatre and captures the band performing a one-of-a-kind set alongside more than 80 talented student musicians from the Contemporary Youth Orchestra. The historic collaboration created a soaring new take on signature classics like "Sister Christian," "(You Can Still) Rock In America," and "Don't Tell Me You Love Me."
"Night Ranger is a band that spans generations and delivers the kind of live show that brings people together," said Illinois Department of Agriculture Director Jerry Costello II. Having sold more than 17 million albums worldwide, performed on over 4,000 stages, and reached a radio audience exceeding one billion listeners, Night Ranger has both defined and transcended the arena rock era. With multi-platinum and gold albums including Dawn Patrol, Midnight Madness, 7 Wishes, Big Life, and Man In Motion, the band's catalog is packed with instantly recognizable hits that continue to resonate with fans old and new.
"Bringing an iconic band like Night Ranger to the fair reflects our commitment to offering quality live entertainment to fairgoers," said Du Quoin State Fair Manager Luke Davison. "This show helps highlight the Du Quoin State Fair as a must-visit destination for live music fans."
