Ministry of Foreign Affairs Condemns Nauru's Embassy Opening in Occupied Jerusalem

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemns Nauru's opening of an embassy in occupied Jerusalem. This move is a blatant violation of international law, undermines international consensus and relevant UN resolutions, and directly legitimizes Israel's illegal occupation and annexationist policies in occupied Jerusalem.
The Ministry calls on the international community to reject and oppose any measure that entrenches the occupation or alters the legal and historical status of occupied Jerusalem.
Jerusalem is occupied territory, and its status cannot be changed by unilateral actions. The rights of the Palestinian people must be upheld until the occupation ends and an independent State of Palestine is realized with Jerusalem as its capital.
