What companies operating in China should pay attention to

In 2017, China implemented its new Cybersecurity Law and coninuously different regulations and standards have been rolled out at increasingly high speeds in past years. More and more Cybersecurity regulations and standards are set to impact companies in China. IT, eCommerce and legal departments of companies of all sizes can expect more audits in areas such as compliance in network products and encryption tools, Cybersecurity post-incident risk evaluation and personnel training. Importantly, any company that conducts cross-border data transfers will be subject to extra security assessment procedures overseen by local authorities.
