The output growth in the Manufacturing led the way, with an increase of 8.3 per cent (March 2026: 5.5%) coupled with the turnaround to 6.8 per cent in the production of the Mining sector (March 2026: -6.5%). In the meantime, the Electricity sector expanded by 10.5 per cent (March 2026: 4.8%) during the month. However, on a month-on-month basis, the IPI experienced a contraction by 3.4 per cent after registering a positive 9.3 per cent growth in the previous month.
