Greenberg Traurig Adds Justin ‘J.L.’ Brooks as Litigation Associate in Boston

BOSTON - Jan. 26, 2026 - Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP has added Justin "J.L." Brooks to its Boston Office as an associate in the firm's Litigation Practice.

Brooks represents clients in litigation, drawing on his experience from federal court clerkships and public defense work. He previously served as a staff attorney in the Committee for Public Counsel Services' Trial Division, where he represented indigent criminal defendants. He also completed judicial clerkships with Judge Eunice C. Lee of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and Judge James E. Graves Jr. of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, providing him with valuable insights into federal appellate procedure. Brooks has handled various legal proceedings including suppression motions, motions to dismiss, and witness examinations.

Brooks earned his J.D. from University of California at Berkeley School of Law, an A.M. in government from Harvard University, and a B.A. from Morehouse College.

"We are pleased to welcome J.L. to the team," said David J. Dykeman and Terence P. McCourt, co-managing shareholders of Greenberg Traurig's Boston office. "He brings a strong litigation foundation shaped by two prominent appellate clerkships in the Second and Fifth Circuits. We are confident that J.L. will be a valuable addition to our growing Boston Litigation Practice."
