Chinese Embassy in Malaysia Hosts 2026 Chinese New Year Reception

On February 6, Chinese Embassy in Malaysia hosted the 2026 Chinese New Year Reception, gathering over a thousand guests to celebrate the arrival of the spring festival together. Present were H.E. Ambassador Ouyang Yujing, Malaysia's Deputy Prime Minister Fadillah Yusof, House of Representatives (Dewan Rakyat) Speaker Johari Abdul, government officials, parliamentary leaders, party representatives, and friends from various sectors, along with foreign envoys to Malaysia and representatives of local communities, overseas Chinese, Chinese enterprises, and Chinese international students in Malaysia.

Ambassador Ouyang extended Chinese New Year greetings to the guests, and recapped the major achievements of China's economic and social development across various fields, as well as the fruitful outcomes of building a high-level strategic China-Malaysia community with a shared future under the guidance of head-of-state diplomacy in 2025. He said that with 2026 as the start of China's 15th Five-Year Plan and Malaysia's 13th Malaysia Plan, China stands ready to work together with Malaysia to advance bilateral relations towards another golden 50 years.

Deputy Prime Minister Fadillah said that Malaysia remains committed to deepening Malaysia-China friendly relations to benefit the people of both countries.

The guests conveyed their best wishes for the prosperity of China and Malaysia, and for the two countries' enduring friendship.
