AECOM bolsters environment and energy leadership in Europe and India region to accelerate growth

Angela Mulgrew and Eloise John appointed to lead AECOM's Europe and India environment and energy business as demand for energy transition and environmental transformation continues to grow.

LONDON (11 June 2026) - AECOM, the trusted global infrastructure leader, has appointed Angela Mulgrew and Eloise John to lead its respective environment and energy divisions across Europe and India, strengthening its Executive Leadership Team and reinforcing its commitment to key clients and strategic markets.

In their new roles, Angela and Eloise will focus on growing AECOM's environment and energy divisions in the region, deepening relationships with priority clients and strengthening leadership and technical capability across a team of more than 2,000 professionals.

Eloise brings more than two decades of experience in the energy sector and a background in electrical engineering.

She joined AECOM in 2015 and, for the past three years, has led the company's energy business across Europe, building a multidisciplinary practice spanning renewables, transmission and distribution, nuclear and emerging energy technologies. Her appointment to the Executive Leadership Team reflects this success and sees her take on a broader leadership role alongside her continued leadership of the energy sector.

Angela is a chartered environmentalist with extensive experience leading multi-disciplinary environment and water businesses in the UK and internationally. Since 2023, she has served as Director of Environment at AECOM, leading a diverse team of environmental, planning and stakeholder professionals, developing sustainable solutions for clients and communities across all infrastructure sectors.

Their appointments come as AECOM continues to support clients on some of the industry's most significant programmes spanning transmission and distribution upgrades, renewables, low-carbon molecule infrastructure, pumped storage hydro, heat networks, industrial decarbonisation, advanced nuclear, water resilience, security, connectivity and digital transformation.

The company is also helping shape the next generation of energy systems through emerging technologies including fusion energy. Earlier this year, AECOM announced it will provide design and technical services to help deliver the first stage of the pioneering £200 million STEP fusion energy programme as part of the ILIOS consortium. Led by UK Fusion Energy, the programme aims to deliver a commercially viable fusion power plant at West Burton in Nottinghamshire by 2040.
