The Lewisville Police Department, Lewisville ISD, and the Drug Enforcement Agency will hold a medication disposal day Saturday, Oct. 24, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., in the parking lot at Lewisville High School, 1098 W. Main Street.
The goal of this operation is to reduce the risk of prescription drug abuse and increase awareness of this critical public health issue. This is a great opportunity for those who have missed previous events, or who have subsequently accumulated unwanted, unused prescription drugs, to safely dispose of those medications.
Volunteers and police officers will be present to accept, secure, and deliver the medications to the Drug Enforcement Agency for proper disposal. No syringes, sharp objects, or inhalers will be accepted.
