Alexandria, VA - Michael Adkinson, acting chair for the FirstNet Authority Board, recently appointed APCO International Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Stephen Devine as a member of the Executive Committee (EC) of the Public Safety Advisory Committee (PSAC). Devine brings 40 years of experience in public safety communications spanning from spectrum management, dispatch operations and Project 25 technologies.

The mission of the PSAC is to assist the FirstNet Authority in carrying out its duties and responsibilities in its support for public safety communications. The PSAC Executive Committee leads the activities and responsibilities of the PSAC while working to ensure its contributions to the FirstNet Authority meet the evolving needs of public safety. The FirstNet PSAC was established by the FirstNet Authority consistent with the Middle-Class Tax Relief and Job Creation Act of 2012, and the group represents all disciplines of public safety as well as state, territorial, tribal and local governments.
