Emergency Storm Notice Regarding Electric Repairs
Batavia residents with storm-damaged electric service must contact a licensed electrician to repair the service riser, then obtain a building permit-fees are waived for storm-related work. Applications should be submitted by email to permits@bataviail.gov (with "Electric Storm Damage" in the subject line) or in person at 100 N. Island Ave. Do not use the online system for storm repairs. After repairs are complete, an inspection by Community Development is required before Batavia Electric can restore power.
