JEBL Solutions Joins UPSTACK

Founder and Former CIO Hilton Sturisky Becomes an UPSTACK Advisory Partner

Founded in 2022 by Hilton Sturisky, JEBL helps large companies cut waste from their technology spend and reinvest the money in modernization. Its clients are concentrated in logistics, warehousing, distribution, and supply chain operations, many managing complex networks of hundreds of facilities and locations across the U.S.

As part of the acquisition, Sturisky will join UPSTACK as an Advisory Partner. Sturisky came to advisory work from the buyer's side. As a global chief information officer under pressure to lower operating costs, he was introduced to a telecom audit firm that charged nothing unless it found savings. The pitch sounded too good to be true, and he put it off for six months. When he finally agreed, the audit turned up money in his network and telecom spend, and he brought the same provider into his next CIO role with similar results. After leaving his last corporate post, he began calling former peers to offer them what that provider had done for him.

"I've sat in my clients' chair, so I know what it takes to get a project approved," said Sturisky. "I build the strategy and the deck with them, because they have to sell it internally before anything moves. If they hand me a problem, they should be able to turn off their phone and know it will get done right."

As client requests grew past audits into network strategy and cloud projects, Sturisky was covering engineering and back-office tasks largely on his own. UPSTACK gives him a bench for them.

"Nothing about how my clients work with me changes," said Sturisky. "They still call me. The difference is that I now have engineers and specialists I can bring in when a project needs more than one person."
