12/12/2025 - OlyPD Weekly Update 12-4 to 12-10-25

Crime Map and Updates

Welcome to our crime map. You can search by address, date range, case number, or specific crime type. The map includes serious felony crimes, vehicle prowls, thefts (except shoplifting), and arrests beginning in Nov. 2020. Click on icons for more detail. Addresses listed are rounded to the hundred block. For a complete list of case reports, visit olympiawa.gov/p2c.

Notable Trends

  • Officers arrested the suspect for the aggravated assault reported this week. The suspect punched a doctor after he told him he was being discharged.
  • Two commercial burglaries reported. Officers arrested one suspect who provided a false name. He returned to a business he was previously trespassed from and stole again. In the other case, six computer monitors, a server and HVAC system were stolen.
  • Four residential burglaries reported this week. It is unknown how the suspect entered in one case, but the victim was missing bank cards, cash and spare keys. Two cases were violations of no contact orders with an arrest in one case and charges referred in the other. One of the cases was the suspect's third violation. In the last case, the suspect found a spare key hidden under a mat, entered the house under remodel and stole tools.
  • Three rapes reported that are all open investigations. The victims know the suspect in two cases. The victim did not know the suspect in the third case.
  • Two packages were stolen this week, one from a porch and the other was delivered to the wrong address and then stolen. With all the extra holiday deliveries, monitor the status of your packages, bring them inside quickly, or have a trusted neighbor retrieve them if you're not able to. Some delivery carriers have options to schedule a specific time so you know you'll be home.

Other Items

  • Officers responded to 1,033 calls for service this week.
  • With the early darkness and increased rain, please slow down while driving and be on the lookout for pedestrians, especially at marked or unmarked crosswalks.
  • This week's photo is from the Holiday Light parade. We're sorry we missed part of the route during this week's parade! There is one more chance to catch the parade on Thursday, Dec. 18 in the southeast neighborhoods. There is a plan in place for the tracker map in case it goes down again. Hope to see you out there.
