BOZEMAN - This summer, the Museum of the Rockies invites the public to "History on Tap," a new weekly series combining live music, history and local brews at the museum's Living History Farm. Events will be held every Tuesday in August from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Admission is free, and food and beverages will be available for purchase. The series is sponsored by Cardinal Distributing and Yellowstone Bank.
Each evening will feature American roots music from the Prairie Schooners and an open mic where musicians are encouraged to perform. Guests can also enjoy informal history talks presented by the week's featured brewery, along with a rotating lineup of local food trucks. The schedule includes:
Attendees are welcome to bring chairs, blankets, picnic dinners and non-alcoholic drinks. Outside alcohol is not permitted. No reservations are required, and all ages are welcome. Seating is first-come, first-served, with a 200-person limit.
"This series is all about creating space for community, storytelling and music in a relaxed and welcoming environment," said Alicia Harvey, the museum's senior director of marketing. "We're excited to bring people together for cultural history conversations that are both meaningful and fun."
Guests are encouraged to donate to support the museum's Cultural History Department, which provides exhibits, collections, programs and research that connect Montana's heritage to the world. Visit museumoftherockies.org/signature-events/hot for details.
