Nominations Open for 2026 Bill Daniels Ethical Leadership Award; Deadline July 31

Nominations are being accepted for the 2026 Bill Daniels Ethical Leadership Award, with a deadline of Friday, July 31.

The Bill Daniels Ethical Leadership Award, named after Bill Daniels, a cable television pioneer who began his career in Casper, is a joint initiative between the University of Wyoming College of Business, the Daniels Fund and the Wyoming Business Alliance/Wyoming Heritage Foundation. The award, which is given every two years, recognizes Wyoming citizens who embody Daniels' ethical leadership principles through professional achievements, personal character and community service.

Individuals in the business, nonprofit, education, government or civic sectors can be nominated.

"Bill Daniels believed that success is measured not only by what we achieve, but by how we achieve it," says Kent Noble, Daniels Fund Ethics Initiative service chair in UW's College of Business. "This award recognizes Wyoming leaders whose integrity, character and service have earned the trust and respect of those around them. We encourage nominations of individuals whose leadership reflects the very best of Wyoming and the enduring ethical principles championed by Bill Daniels."

The winner of the 2026 Bill Daniels Ethical Leadership Award will be announced at the Governor's Business Forum Wednesday-Friday, Nov. 11-13, at the Little America Hotel and Resort in Cheyenne, which is hosted by the Wyoming Business Alliance/Wyoming Heritage Foundation.

To nominate an individual for the award, complete the form here, and submit nominations to Wyoming Business Association President Renny MacKay at [email protected].

Nominees are evaluated based on these Daniels Fund Ethics Initiative principles:

-- Integrity: Act with honesty in all situations.

-- Trust: Build trust in all stakeholder relationships.

-- Accountability: Accept responsibility for all decisions.

-- Transparency: Maintain open and truthful communications.

-- Fairness: Engage in fair competition and create equitable and just relationships.

-- Respect: Honor the rights, freedoms, views and property of others.

-- Rule of Law: Comply with the spirit and intent of laws and regulations.

-- Viability: Create long-term value for all relevant stakeholders.
