The City has officially kicked off its largest-ever slurry seal project, set to resurface more than 40 streets and 3.47 million square feet of roadway.
Work began this week with preparations like patching and crack sealing. Patchwork includes grinding and replacing damaged sections of pavement, while crack sealing applies adhesive to small cracks to prevent further roadway deterioration. This work is important to create a smoother driving surface and prepare the streets for upcoming slurry seal treatment.
Prep work will be followed by slurry application and restriping through the summer and fall. This effort is part of the City's ongoing commitment to preserve and extend the life of our roads while enhancing safety and appearance.
Notifications will be provided to properties impacted by slurry seal before work begins. "No parking" signs will be placed in impacted areas 72 hours prior to slurry application. An interactive map is available online to help residents track progress.
