SCDOT Temporarily Closing Great Falls Highway Bridge over Catawba River near Great Falls

Out of an abundance of caution, SCDOT is closing the Great Falls Highway (SC-200/SC-97) bridge over Catawba River near Great Falls, South Carolina due to the rising water levels in the area. When water levels recede, SCDOT crews will perform any necessary inspections before reopening the bridge to traffic.

Drivers should avoid the area if possible and seek alternate routes. If you are traveling in the area, stay alert for directional signs and crews working. Community members are encouraged to visit our websitefor updates.
