Idaho observes World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims

BOISE - November 16 marks World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims, a day to honor those killed or seriously injured in traffic incidents and to support their families. The observance also serves as a call to action: slow down, put away distractions, and drive sober.

At Pocatello City Hall on Sunday, November 16, from 5 to 6 p.m., Pocatello Mayor Brian Blad will deliver remarks advocating for traffic safety and honoring all lives lost to road traffic crashes.

All are welcome at the vigil.<_o3a_p>

Event partners include:

  • Idaho Smart Growth

  • Idaho Walk Bike Alliance

  • Southeast Idaho Council of Governments

  • Mayor Brian Blad

  • City of Pocatello

World Day of Remembrance is observed globally to remember victims of road traffic crashes and to encourage communities to take meaningful steps toward safer streets.
