Body Sound Against Gender-Based Violence

On 25 November, the Accademia Dimitri joins the City of Lugano for a special event on the occasion of the International Day Against Violence Against Women. In collaboration with the LAC, the Accademia will stage a choral performance of Body Sound to raise awareness of gender-based violence, a reality that unfortunately affects many people.

This collective performance, organised as part of the national "16 days against gender violence" campaign, is an invitation to reflect and react together. Through the rhythmic use of hands, feet and body, participants will recreate the sound of rain, a symbol of renewal, hope and solidarity. It is an opportunity for the community to come together and support a powerful message: only united can we "wash away" violence from our society.
