Petroperú assisted in controling the fire that occurred in Iquitos

After the explosions and the large fire on February 9 at the facilities of the Amazonian Services and Equipment company, located on the banks of the Itaya River, in the city of Iquitos (Loreto), Petroperú immediately mobilized its specialized personnel to support the emergency.

The company deployed technical equipment and supplied 75 gallons of specialized firefighting foam for extinguishing fires with the presence of fuels, contributing decisively to the containment of the incident.

The fire, which was at its highest intensity, was attended by the fire companies of Iquitos, Punchana, Belén and San Antonio, who required support with specialized resources to prevent the spread of the fire to commercial facilities and neighboring homes.

Petroperú's intervention made it possible to strengthen response and control actions, reducing risks to the population and the environment, and facilitating the effective management of the emergency.

With this action, Petroperú reaffirms its commitment to the safety of people, the protection of the community and the care of the environment, collaborating in a timely manner with the authorities and first response agencies in emergency situations.
