CHALMETTE, LA - Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve is pleased to announce the return of Wreaths Across America, taking place Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Chalmette National Cemetery (4606 W St. Bernard Hwy). The nationwide annual tradition honoring our country's service members will commence with a brief ceremony at 11:00 a.m., immediately followed with the placement of wreaths on the gravesites of our fallen heroes. A dozen local organizations have volunteered to sponsor wreaths and encourage community participation this holiday season. By laying wreaths at each headstone and speaking every veteran's name aloud, we ensure their service and sacrifice are never forgotten.
