Broome County Highway Work Planned for Week of 10/6
(BROOME COUNTY, NY) - The following work is scheduled on Broome County roadways beginning Monday, October 6th.
- Paving Bunn Hill Road - County Route 053 (from NYS Rt. 26 to Rock Road)
- Guide rail repairs on East Maine Road & Airport Road
- Cleaning ditches and rebuilding shoulders on Old Newark Valley Road, Trim Street, Old State Road, Fox Farm Road & Ouaquaga Road
- Culvert work on North Street & Powers Road
- Hand patching various county roads
- Mowing right of way on several county roads
- Painting on various county roads
Motorists are reminded to use caution in work zones, even when they are not active as some may be modified as constructions progresses. Slowing down is always the most effective way to keep yourself and workers safe. You may also want to give yourself extra time during commutes to accommodate for any detours or change in traffic patterns.
