University of Alaska spring 2026 commencement ceremonies scheduled across the state

The University of Alaska's three universities will hold spring 2026 commencement ceremonies at campuses and community locations across Alaska beginning May 1.
University of Alaska Southeast
UAS will hold three ceremonies across Southeast Alaska. Student speakers and commencement address speakers have been announced for each location.

Sitka: Friday, May 1, at 7 p.m. at Harrigan Centennial Hall, with a reception to follow. Student speaker RJ Rabadan will receive an Associate in Applied Science in health sciences. William Spivey, administrator for Mount Edgecumbe Medical Center, will deliver the commencement address.

Ketchikan: Saturday, May 2, at 2 p.m. at the Ted Ferry Civic Center. Student speaker Laken Hood will receive an occupational endorsement in welding. Audrey Hudson, superintendent and field representative for the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Metlakatla Agency, will deliver the commencement address.

Juneau: Sunday, May 3, at 2 p.m. at Centennial Hall. Student speaker Samuel Marquardt, an active-duty Coast Guard member, will receive a Bachelor of Science in marine biology.

UAF will hold four ceremonies at locations across the state.

Fairbanks: Saturday, May 2, at 1 p.m. at the Carlson Center.

Bethel: Thursday, May 7, at 3 p.m. at the Yupiit Piciryarait Cultural Center, Kuskokwim Campus ceremony.

Nome: Thursday, May 7, at 7 p.m. at Old Saint Joe's, Northwest Campus ceremony.

Kotzebue: Wednesday, May 13, at 2 p.m. at the Northwest Arctic Heritage Center, Chukchi Campus ceremony.

UAA will hold three ceremonies at locations across Southcentral Alaska.

Anchorage: Sunday, May 3, at 1 p.m. at the Alaska Airlines Center.

Valdez: Monday, May 4, Prince William Sound College ceremony. Time TBD.

Kodiak: Friday, May 8, at 7 p.m. at the Gerald C. Wilson Auditorium, Kodiak College ceremony.
