DIFI Urges Insurance and Financial Companies to Be Flexible with Customers During the Federal Government Shutdown

November 5, 2025 | Phoenix, AZ: The Arizona Department of Insurance and Financial Institutions (DIFI) has issued two bulletins (Bulletin 2025-10 (INS) and Bulletin 2025-11 (DFI)), encouraging all state-licensed insurance companies and financial institutions/enterprises to provide temporary relief to all those affected by the federal government shutdown.

"We encourage insurance companies and financial institutions to work with government employees who may be experiencing temporary financial hardship due to the ongoing shutdown," said Maria Ailor, DIFI's Interim Director.

DIFI is encouraging both insurance and financial institutions to undertake the following measures for at least 60 days:
