Frederick County Board of Elections to Hold Open House on October 30

Frederick Md. -The public is invited to attend an open house hosted by the Frederick County Board of Elections to learn about becoming an election judge. The event will take place on Thursday October 30, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Board of Elections office, located at 8490 Progress Drive, Suite 300, Frederick MD, 21701.

Frederick County Board of Elections is gearing up for the 2026 election and is in search of election judges to help make the voting process easy and accessible. Election judges greet and check-in voters, give directions, and oversee the procedures to ensure voters can cast their ballots.

"Elections can only happen with the help of people like you," said Election Director Barbara Wagner. "We are looking for dependable, highly motivated, civic-minded people to help provide Frederick County citizens with the best voting experience possible."

Election judges can make up to $250 each day assigned during the election, in addition to paid training. Becoming an Election Judge is an opportunity help your community and earn some extra money.
