Minister of Foreign Affairs meets with the Group of Latin America and the Caribbean Countries (GRULAC) Ambassadors and Chargé d'Affaires in Thailand
On 2 December 2025, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Puangketkeow, Minister of Foreign Affairs, received a joint courtesy call from nine Ambassadors and Chargés d'Affaires of the Group of Latin America and the Caribbean Countries (GRULAC), namely, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, and Peru. All GRULAC Ambassadors and Chargés d'Affaires expressed their condolences on the passing of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother, as well as extended their heartfelt sympathies for all those affected by the flood in southern Thailand.
The Foreign Minister welcomed the continued advancement of relations between Thailand and GRULAC, and highlighted the celebration of significant diplomatic milestones this year: 70 years with Argentina; 60 years with Peru; and 50 years with Mexico. He briefed the GRULAC envoys on Thailand's key Government policies and overall foreign policy priorities as well as exchanged views on ways to further strengthen Thailand - GRULAC bilateral cooperation. He also underscored Thailand's strategic strengths and economic complementarities with GRULAC countries, particularly in areas such as agriculture and food production, digital economy, healthcare and public health, green transition, and cultural tourism. The Foreign Minister further reaffirmed Thailand's readiness to work proactively with GRULAC members to deliver concrete outcomes for the benefit of the people of both regions.
