Charge Smarter, Save More: Your Driveway is Your New Gas Station

We knew, deep down, that the moment most customers truly fall in love with electric vehicle ownership happens right in their own driveway. That initial home charging experience is nothing short of an 'aha!' moment. It's the realization that you can fill up at home and wake up every day, ready to go.

To help more people experience the convenience of filling up at home, we are extending the complimentary home charger and standard installation offer for Ford Power Promise in the U.S. until September 30, 2025.1

Since the launch of Ford Power Promise, over 10,000 chargers - and growing every day - have been installed in all 50 states, helping Ford electric vehicle owners save time and money.

With Ford Power Promise, we also wanted our commitment to go beyond a customer's garage, offering additional convenience-driven services like 24/7 live support,2 access to the BlueOval™ Charge Network - the largest integrated public charging network in North America3 - and a worry-free battery warranty.4

Why is this crucial? Many people are still discovering the full extent of time and money savings possible with an electric vehicle, a point reinforced by a recent survey from Verra Mobility.5 With Ford Power Promise, we're actively changing this perception: Ford data shows that customers who took advantage of the Ford Power Promise charger and installation are potentially saving time and money by charging more at home than customers who didn't.

How Ford electric vehicle owners are taking advantage

"Having a charger at home is awesome. I leave every morning with my car topped off and ready to go."Feliks in Washington
"Charging mostly at home, range has become a non-issue. We plug in at night, just like charging a phone, and wake up to a full 'tank' every morning."Alan in Florida

Wake up ready to go every day by installing a home charger. The average household in the U.S. drives less than 40 miles/day (39.7 mi) according to a 2022 national survey from the U.S. Department of Transportation, so why fill up at a gas station when you can fill up at home with electric? 85% of charging already happens at home.6 Filling up at home can save an estimated $26 or more per charging session compared to filling up a tank of gas,7 with savings soaring to over $55 for larger electric vehicles like the F-150 Lightning.8

Dean in Texas: "Our electric company has a "free weekends" program. We drive the car (150-200 miles per week) and on Friday evening, we plug it in and recharge it for free!!! Monday morning we are ready to go!!"

Charge when power is cheaper and stack available incentives. Electricity rates may be cheaper at night, depending on your utility provider. Schedule off-peak charging to cut your cost per mile. Federal, state, and utility rebates can also lower your costs. Check out Ford's Electric Vehicle Energy Solutions page to learn more about the specific ways you can benefit.

"With gas at five dollars a gallon in my area, I turned to the Ford Mustang Mach-E, and it was love at first drive."Matthew in Washington

Your battery warranty has you covered. Ford electric vehicles have 8 years or 100,000 miles of high-voltage battery coverage to protect you. Ford electric vehicle batteries are designed to last at least 10 years and are maintaining on average 90% health at 100,000 miles.9

"18,000 miles in 6 months of ownership," said Bill in Washington. "Commuting, errands, hauling, family vehicle, hunting, camping, and long distance road-tripping... it has saved me a ton in gasoline and maintenance costs while being comfortable, capable, and fun to drive. My favorite vehicle ever (37 years of driving)."

Simplify your drive & ensure peace of mind with 24/7 live support. When shopping for an electric vehicle, consider how features like minimal scheduled maintenance, 24/7 live support, and built-in features like preconditioning and route optimization can help you get the most out of your Ford electric vehicle.

"Our power did not come back on 'til the next morning ... The Lightning was able to keep my medical device running and me breathing."Jeff in Ohio

"A couple of weeks ago we had severe storms," said Jeff in Ohio. "Our power went out about midnight. The inverter battery failed on my CPAP and I was unable to sleep. Fortunately, I was able to use Pro Power Onboard10 to power my CPAP and get a good night sleep. Our power did not come back on 'til the next morning. I was able to run an extension cord from the frunk to the bedroom. The Lightning was able to keep my medical device running and me breathing."

Learn all the ways an electric vehicle can be more than just a ride. Imagine using your truck as a mobile generator with Pro Power Onboard for tailgates, running tools at a worksite, powering your campsite, or even providing crucial power to your home during an outage with available Home Backup Power. An electric vehicle isn't just transportation; it can be a versatile power source on wheels.
