Firm leases office at Old Parkland campus as it heightens its focus on DFW market
DALLAS, OCTOBER 8, 2025 - With two industrial portfolio acquisitions in the past year and its first ground-up development planned in Dallas-Fort Worth, Ackerman & Co. is positioning itself for more growth in Texas with the opening of an office in the Metroplex.
Ackerman has opened an office in the Old Parkland campus at 4020 Maple Avenue in the Uptown district north of Downtown Dallas. A designated historical landmark, Old Parkland has become a premier address for businesses in Dallas.
"We continue to expand our presence across Texas, and as one of the most important business hubs and industrial markets in the U.S., Dallas is a top priority for us," said Jeff Bryant, Senior Vice President and Principal for Ackerman & Co. in Texas. "We've made three major investments in the Metroplex and are pursuing additional opportunities. This office will help accommodate our growth, and it offers a central location in the Metroplex in a unique setting among a community of businesses at Old Parkland."
In the past 12 months, Ackerman & Co., has invested in two industrial portfolio acquisitions: the 12-building, 258,846-square-foot Midway Business Park in the East Fort Worth submarket, and a six-building portfolio totaling 276,920 square feet in Irving and Carrollton, Texas, northwest of Downtown Dallas.
In its first ground-up development in the Metroplex, the company has acquired 25 acres and plans to begin construction in 2026 on two Class A buildings of 162,702 square feet and 172,787 square feet at 20 East Logistics Park in Terrell, Texas. Offering convenient access to I-20 and the option of direct Union Pacific rail service, the property is being pre-leased by Colliers and targets rail users, distributors and manufacturers.
Ackerman & Co.'s recent additions to its Texas team include Travis Swanson, an Investment Analyst who supports the team's acquisition and new development initiatives.
Ackerman & Co. began its expansion into Texas with the acquisition of a 500,000-square-foot medical-office portfolio in San Antonio in 2017, opening an office in the city soon after.
In San Antonio's Northeast industrial corridor, Ackerman & Co. has completed development and sold the fully leased, 307,000-square-foot Doerr Lane Logistics Center, and is developing a two-building project at Corporate Drive Industrial Complex totaling 511,000 square feet and up to 1.5 million square feet at TriPoint Logistics Center.

About Old Parkland
A designated historical landmark, Old Parkland began more than a century ago as a county hospital, serving the medical needs of a growing city. The buildings served other purposes in the decades that followed but fell into disrepair until Crow Holdings purchased the land in 2006, restored and renovated the 1913-built Old Main, and moved the company's headquarters there in 2008. Since then, building by building, the campus has expanded to become a premier, internationally renowned address for businesses, foundations, and civic leaders.
