AEP OHIO HOSTS OPEN HOUSE TO DISCUSS UPCOMING FAIRFIELD COUNTY TRANSMISSION POWER LINE CONSTRUCTION

GAHANNA, Ohio (October 15, 2024) - AEP Ohio, an American Electric Power (Nasdaq: AEP) company, invites the public to learn more about upcoming transmission power line improvements in Fairfield County.

Announced this summer, the West Lancaster - West Millersport Transmission Line Rebuild Project involves rebuilding about 15 miles of 138-kilovolt power lines and upgrading two substations in Lancaster and Baltimore. Construction is set to begin later this year, starting with forestry crews trimming and removing vegetation from the project right-of-way, and conclude in the summer of 2027. These upgrades will decrease the likelihood of power outages in the area while also helping to strengthen the grid against severe weather and improve operational performance.

Landowners and interested community members are invited to an open house to learn more about what to expect before, during and after construction. The event takes place:

Thursday, October 17

5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

The Mill Event Center

431 S. Columbus St.

Lancaster, OH 43130

There is no formal presentation. Attendees can arrive at any time during the event.

Those who are unable to attend the in-person open house or would like to review the project materials can visit AEPOhio.com/LancasterMillersport. The website includes project information, an interactive map and a place to submit questions and comments.
