Stanislaus County

Lane Closures on State Routes 99, 33, And Interstate 5

Stanislaus County- The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various lane and ramp closures next week on State Route 99 (SR-99), State Route 33 (SR-33), and Interstate 5 (I-5). Work is scheduled to occur as follows:

State Route 99

  • Moving, alternating lane closures on southbound SR-99 from the San Joaquin County line to the Merced County line for a sweeping operation beginning Monday, April 14, through Friday, April 18, 2025, from 8:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.

State Route 120

  • Moving, alternating lane closures between the San Joaquin County line and the Merced County line for crack seal operation beginning Monday, April 14, through Saturday, April 19, 2025, from 8:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.

Interstate 5

  • Overnight, alternating lane closures between Fink Road and Hamilton Road for bridge work beginning Sunday, April 13, through Friday, April 18, 2025, from 7:30 p.m. until 6:30 a.m.
  • Overnight, full closure of the onramp to northbound I-5 from Ingram Creek Road for bridge work beginning Sunday, April 13, through Friday, April 18, 2025, from 7:30 p.m. until 6:30 a.m.
  • Long-term, full closures of the northbound and southbound Westley Safety Roadside Rest Areas on I-5 and the auxiliary lane leading to the southbound rest area exit for construction work.
    Note: This project is expected to continue through the fall of 2025.

Motorists should expect 5-to-10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. This work is scheduled to occur as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials, and construction-related issues.
