PR No. 203 Federal Minister Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh Addresses AI Summit at Bahria Univer

Federal Minister for Board of Investment (BOI), Mr. Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh, addressed the AI Summit at Bahria University Islamabad as the Chief Guest, where he underscored that education remains the foundation of national progress.

The Federal Minister stated that the future of the world is closely linked with Artificial Intelligence (AI) and emphasized that technological skill development for youth is an urgent national requirement. He stressed that educational institutions must take the lead in preparing students for future challenges by integrating AI as a mandatory component of academic curricula.

Highlighting Pakistan's economic potential, Mr. Sheikh noted that the country offers immense investment opportunities in technology and AI sectors, alongside several other emerging fields. He said that targeted investment in these areas can significantly contribute to Pakistan's economic growth.

Drawing lessons from global experience, the Federal Minister pointed out that China achieved remarkable development through sustained focus on education and technological advancement. He emphasized that Pakistan can follow a similar path by investing in innovation-driven sectors.

Mr. Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh further stated that investment combined with AI-driven solutions can open new avenues for economic expansion, productivity, and employment. He reaffirmed that the Board of Investment remains fully committed to promoting and facilitating investment in technology, AI, and other high-growth sectors of the economy.
