24th Avenue SW Bridge Rehabilitation Project to soon begin

On July 6, 2026, Redlands Contracting will begin a bridge rehabilitation project on 24th Avenue SW between Bud Wilkinson Drive SW and George L Cross Drive/Terrace Place. This work will require intermittent lane closures in the area. At least one lane of traffic will be open in each direction as this work is completed. The work associated with the project is expected to last for a duration of 2 months.
This work is a part of the 2023 Bridge Maintenance Bond Program and will provide structural rehabilitation and bridge concrete deck repair on the 24th Avenue SW Bridge. This project is anticipated to last through the summer, pending any adverse weather conditions. Residents are kindly reminded to adhere to traffic control measures in place and plan extra time when traveling through this work area. Relevant updates will be made available at Normanok.gov as the project moves forward.
