HBO Max Honors Real-Life Heroes from AHN Allegheny General Hospital in 'THE PITT' Art Recreation

Cinematic portraits of the hospital's emergency department staff mirror iconic character art from the critically acclaimed drama series

PITTSBURGH - HBO Max has partnered with Allegheny Health Network's (AHN) Allegheny General Hospital (AGH) and Pittsburgh-based photographer, Chancelor Humphrey (@keeppittsburghdope), to recreate 'THE PITT' character art with real medical professionals. This powerful collaboration not only underscores the deep connection between the series and the real-world heroes who inspire its narratives, but also celebrates them.

Featuring staff from the AGH emergency department, the compelling photo series is captured in the same cinematic, powerful and emotionally focused style as the series' season 2 key art. The accompanying behind-the-scenes video reel features heartfelt comments from staff about how they relate to the show. The photos and video were shared this evening via HBO Max's and AHN's social media channels (Instagram / Facebook) following release of the season's latest episode.

All content was captured by Humphrey, whose 'Keep Pittsburgh Dope' brand aims to showcase Pittsburgh's people and their unique style. His hallmark candid interactions with everyday individuals and local happenings are regularly featured on his social media platforms.

Since the show's inception, AGH has proudly served as the backdrop and inspiration for the critically acclaimed Max Original drama series from Warner Bros. Television. The series has garnered significant attention for its accurate portrayal of the current health care landscape.

"We are honored that our dedicated caregivers at AGH are being recognized in such a powerful and authentic way by HBO Max," said Imran Qadeer, president, MD. "This artistic series highlights the daily courage, compassion and resilience of our emergency medicine staff who are true heroes in our community."
