President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a phone call with President of France Emmanuel Macron.
The Head of State expressed gratitude for the words of condolence over Russian strikes on civilians, and in particular, the attack on a passenger train in the Kharkiv region. Volodymyr Zelenskyy briefed his counterpart on the frontline situation and the ever-growing Russian losses.
The Presidents discussed diplomatic efforts: trilateral meetings in Abu Dhabi and preparations for new ones that may take place later. They also addressed the matter of countering Russia's shadow fleet. Emmanuel Macron spoke about the relevant legislative work.
The leaders paid particular attention to strengthening Ukraine's energy resilience. In the near future, Ukraine will receive generators from France. There will also be additional deliveries this year of French aircraft, missiles for air defense systems, and aerial bombs. Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked France for this assistance.
