Police responded to a Harvard Square restaurant on a report of a disturbance. An employee stated that while leaving, a customer had punched an exterior window of the restaurant, breaking through the glass and shattering it.

Patricia Kizito, 25, of Newton, was placed under arrest on a charge of Operating Under the Influence of Liquor. Officers interacted with Kizito after a vehicle he was operating was stopped in traffic and appeared disabled near the intersection of River Street and Franklin Street. During the interaction Kizito exhibited multiple indicators of impairment.

The operator of a scooter stated they swerved to avoid a turning vehicle and fell down. They were subsequently transported to a local hospital by EMS with non-life-threatening injuries.

Michael Gouthro, 53, of Malden was placed under arrest and charged with Larceny Over $1200, and Unlawful Possession of Theft Detection Device. Police responded to a business on Cambridgeside Pl. on a report of a shoplifting. Officers stopped Gouthro outside of the store with $1,219 in unpaid merchandise and wire cutters that had been used to remove theft detection devices.
