Man sentenced for Sex Abuse

Reginald BlackElk III, age 29, pleaded guilty and was sentenced in Lane County Circuit Court to three counts of Sex Abuse in the Third Degree and three counts of Public Indecency. He is to serve six months in jail, register as a sex offender, and complete five years of probation.

Reginald BlackElk III was arrested on January 12, 2024, following a lengthy investigation regarding numerous public indecency and sex crimes last year involving homeless males in Eugene. He did not know the victims but targeted them during nighttime outings while wearing a custom-made super-hero outfit complete with a cape and mask. Case 23-12870
