Clara Muhammad Square Playground Reaches Substantial Completion

The Capital Program Office is pleased to announce the completion of Clara Muhammad Square Playground, located at 4700 Lancaster Avenue. Funded by Councilmember Jamie Gauthier, this $388,000project enhances play opportunities for children while improving safety and accessibility at the site.

Project Highlights

The upgrades replaced the existing tot and junior playground with new equipment and safety surfacing, including:

  • Climbing nets
  • Multiple slides
  • Multi-user and single-user spinners
  • Play mound with slides and climbing equipment
  • Balance beam

Additional site improvements included sidewalk replacementand concrete repairalong the perimeter of the park, supporting a safer and more accessible environment for all visitors.
