March 10, 2026 - Haworth Group announced that it now sources 100% renewable electricity equal to global operations. This milestone fulfills the company's 2025 renewable electricity goal and marks early progress toward 2030 Scope 1 and 2 near-term science-based target.
"We believe in leading by example," said Mike Warsaw, Haworth Global Vice President of Design, Innovation, Sustainability. "This achievement is about more than reducing our own carbon footprint; it's about demonstrating what is possible and inspiring action within our industry and beyond. It reinforces our promise to our customers, dealers and communities that we are a trusted partner in building a more sustainable future."
This accomplishment covers electricity usage for all Haworth-owned and operated manufacturing facilities, offices, warehouses and showrooms worldwide. Along with reducing operational emissions and improving energy performance across facilities, sourcing 100% renewable energy is a foundational approach to Haworth's continued climate accountability strategy.
Haworth sources renewable electricity through a portfolio of high-quality energy attribute certificates (EACs), supported by onsite solar and utility green-power contracts. These mechanisms ensure that for every megawatt-hour of electricity consumed at Haworth facilities, an equivalent amount of renewable electricity is generated and added to the grid.
Haworth also reduces direct emissions through energy efficiency projects to drive down total energy usage. In 2025, Haworth implemented HVAC and compressed air system upgrades and LED lighting across its global footprint.
As part of continued decarbonization efforts, Haworth focuses on energy efficiency, responsible material use and advancing circular design principles, working with partners across its value chain to address Scope 3 emissions.
