Avelo Airlines to Discontinue Direct Service from ACV to Burbank

Avelo Airlines has informed Humboldt County officials that they will discontinue service between the California Redwood Coast-Humboldt County Airport (ACV) and the Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR). The last flights between ACV and BUR will be on Tuesday, Dec. 2.

According to Avelo, service from ACV to BUR will be discontinued because they will be closing their base at the Hollywood Burbank Airport to focus on their east coast operations.

Travelers will be notified about the changes to their flight reservations and refund options. Avelo customers should visit aveloair.com or call 346-616-9500 if they are in need of customer support.

United Airlines will continue to offer flights out of ACV to Los Angeles, San Francisco and Denver.

Efforts to recruit new air service providers remain a top priority for the County of Humboldt to meet the growing travel needs of the region. The Humboldt Department of Aviation, in partnership with the County Administrative Office's Economic Development Division, continues to engage with carriers to expand air service, including northbound service options.
