On August 14, the first political consultations between the foreign ministries of the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Rwanda were held in Kigali. The consultations were conducted by Levon Petrosyan, Head of the Middle East and Africa Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, and Ms Marie Grâce Nyinawumuntu is the Director General of Europe, Americas and International Organizations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Rwanda.
The interlocutors emphasized the importance of intensifying political dialogue and discussed steps aimed at deepening cooperation in the fields of digital technologies, education, healthcare, and a number of other areas.
They also exchanged views on cooperation within multilateral platforms. Current regional developments in the South Caucasus and East Africa were touched upon.
