SR-163 and I-8 Connectors Closed September 2 to 4

SAN DIEGO - Caltrans Maintenance crews will close the eastbound Interstate 8 connector to northbound State Route 163, the westbound I-8 connector to northbound SR-163, the northbound SR-163 to eastbound I-8, the southbound SR-163 connector to westbound 8 and the southbound SR-163 connector to eastbound I-8 starting Tuesday, September 2 until Thursday September 4 from 11:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. for broadband installation work.

Detours:

Motorist traveling on I-8 to SR-163 will continue east on I-8 to the Northbound Interstate 805 (I-805) connector and proceed to the northbound I-805 connector to SR-163.

Motorists traveling on SR-163 to I-8 will continue on SR-163 to the I-805 connectors and proceed to eastbound or westbound I-8.

Motorists are reminded to be Work Zone Alert if traveling in the area and to watch for highway workers and moving construction equipment.

The work schedule is subject to change due to weather conditions, traffic incidents, or other work-related reasons.
