On August 26, 2025, Frederick Police Detectives Rippeon and G. Smith, working undercover in an area known for ongoing controlled dangerous substance (CDS) activity, conducted proactive enforcement that led to the arrest of Anthony Scott. Detectives, in coordination with the Frederick County Sheriff's Office Pace Unit, recovered approximately 10 grams of cocaine and $1,094 in cash. The quantity of drugs and currency indicated possession with intent to distribute as well as active distribution.
Following the arrest, FPD Detective Edwards gathered additional information linking Scott to further illegal activity. Acting on this intelligence, detectives obtained and executed a search warrant at a residence in the 500 block of Ellrose Court, Frederick, Maryland. The search resulted in the seizure of approximately 91 grams of cocaine, multiple Oxycodone pills, and $15,000 in cash. The seized cocaine has an estimated street value of $10,000.
On September 12, 2025, Scott was indicted by the Frederick County Grand Jury and is currently being held at the Frederick County Adult Detention Center.
