Detour set for M-28 repairs in Munising Oct. 2

MUNISING, Mich. - Contractors for the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will be making performing corrective warranty repairs on M-28 from the roundabout to Elm Street in Munising, Alger County, beginning at 8 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, and ending at the end of the day.

Eastbound and westbound M-28 will be closed and detoured from Cedar Street to Elm Avenue. Eastbound traffic will be detoured via Elm Avenue and East Superior Street back to M-28. The detour will be reversed for westbound traffic. H-58 (East Munising Avenue) traffic will be detoured onto Mill Street.

This project will help ensure continued safe and reliable operation of the roadway.
