12-Hour Play Day

Our Productions Theatre Co. invites everyone to the 12-Hour Play Day to experience a world of creation, drama, and fun, Saturday, Jan. 31, 10 a.m.-10 p.m., at Lewisville Grand Theater, 100 N. Charles Street.

This fast-paced, collaborative theatre challenge is open to all experience levels. Participants will be divided into small creative teams and given time to develop, rehearse, and produce original micro-plays (under 15 minutes). The newly created works will be performed for a live audience at 8 p.m. that evening.

Participants need to sign up by Wednesday, Jan. 28, and can use this link to complete the registration form.

Audience tickets for the evening performance are pay-what-you-can by donation ($5, $15, $25, or choose your own price) and are available to purchase now at ourproductionstheatreco.org.

Our Productions Theatre Co. is one of eight local groups receiving funding from the City of Lewisville through a grant program designed to foster cultural and fine arts in the community.

The Grand is Lewisville's home for the arts. It presents a variety of regional and national touring performers, art exhibits, and classes, while also giving the many arts groups in the greater Lewisville area a facility to perform and display their works. Its multiple performance spaces play host to a variety of events, including live music, theater, dance performances, comedy shows, and more. The center features the 294-seat Huffines Performance Hall, black box theater, recital hall, art gallery, and courtyard.

To reach The Grand from Interstate 35E, take exit 452 and proceed east on Main Street to Charles Street. The Grand will be on the left. Free public parking is available along Main and Church streets, or at Lewisville City Hall across Church Street from the center. Please be aware that heavy construction at the Main Street intersection with I-35E could cause traffic delays.
